Arleen Gronseth, 90 of Benson, Minnesota passed away at Bethesda Grand in Willmar Minnesota, June 30, 2025.
A service to celebrate her life was held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson, July 3, 2025.
She was born September 19, 1934, in Wallace, SD the only child of Oscar and Myrtle Thompson. Arleen was baptized October 8, 1934, in Telemarken Lutheran Church, Wallace, SD. Her confirmation took place June 19, 1949, in Calvary Lutheran Church. She graduated from Webster High School May 22, 1952.
Arleen was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and adored great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was the heart of the family, holding them together with her love, guiding them with her wisdom, and lifting them with her strength. Her presence was their comfort, and her home was always a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
Arleen is survived by her five children: Valerie VanderWeyst (Deano) of Benson, David (Sheila) Gronseth of Homer, Ak, Valora (Dave) Svor of Atwater, Daniel Gronseth of Benson, Vanessa Gronseth of Atwater; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; along with many other relatives and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Arleen is preceded in death by her husband Leslie; her parents Oscar and Myrtle Thompson; son-in-law Micheal Rengstorf; grandson Levi Rengstorf; and great granddaughter Ameila Svor.
Arrangements were with Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson.
