Magaard reaches 100 wins during victory over NLS

Will Magaard (top) became the 36th KMS wrestler to reach 100 career wins last week against NLS.

The KMS wrestling team added another wrestler to the 100-win club last week as sophomore Will Magaard reached his 100th career win during a 50-22 victory over NLS last Tuesday night in Kerkhoven.

Magaard, who became the 36th KMS wrestler to reach 100 career wins, was also one of five KMS wrestlers earning championships during the Alexandria Wrestling Tournament, Saturday.  Just a sophomore, Magaard could have a chance to crack the KMS top-five by the time he graduates.

He was joined on the top stand of the victory podium by Jared Carlson, Jon Tostenson, Caleb Collins, and Ryan Torkelson.  The Saints placed third of seven teams at the Alexandria Tourney in a meet won by Detroit Lakes and the host team placing second.

KMS, which improved to 10-5 overall with the win over the Wildcats, is set to host Benson for a match in Kerkhoven, Thursday....
