ERIC MATTHEW SCOTT
July 17, 1986 - April 7, 2018

Eric Matthew Scott, 31, Appleton, MN, died Saturday, April 7, 2018, in Stevens County. 

Visitation will be from 2-4 pm, Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson.  Visitation will continue from 10-11 am, followed by the Funeral Service at 11 am, Monday, April 16, 2018, at the church.  Interment will be in the Appleton City Cemetary in Benson.  Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home.

Eric Matthew Scott was born July 17, 1986 in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Terri and Troy Scott.  He was baptized August 31, 1986 by Pastor Myron Grams and was confirmed September 30, 2001 by Pastor Scott Nagel, both at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton.  Eric was raised in the Waite Park, St. Cloud, Royalton, Appleton, and Benson areas.  He attended elementary school in Appleton and graduated from Benson High School, Class of 2004.  He was united in marriage to Jennifer Lee Weets on October 15, 2010.

Over the years Eric has worked for Friendship Homes in Montevideo, West-Con in Holloway, MBI Energy Services in Stanley, ND, Ottertail Coaches in Ray, ND, and most recently as a manager for Shadowland Farms in Appleton.  Eric enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, woodworking, farming, repairing all manner of things, and playing Legos with his children.  He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends…laughing and having fun.

He was a loving father and son who will be greatly missed.  Eric is survived by his children, Madison, Koen, and Daxtyn; step-children, Gabrielle and Porter; wife, Jenn Weets of Appleton; parents: Terri Scott (Todd Rasmussen) of Benson and Troy (Heather) Scott of Milan; brother, Ethan Scott (Libby Cable) of Coon Rapids; grandmother, Sharon Hanson of Willmar; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Reuben Hanson and Gary and Joyce Scott.  Blessed be the memory of Eric Matthew Scott.
