Wyatt McGee, the son of Jess and Angie McGee and an upcoming senior at Benson High School, has earned a position on the Minnesota National High School rodeo team and will be traveling with fellow teammates to Rock Springs, WY, July 15-21 to compete at the 70th annual National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR) in the steer wrestling and bull riding competitions.

Wyatt was the reserve champion for the state of Minnesota in both these two events.  “Wyatt had an excellent finals and we couldn’t be more proud of him in the steer wrestling, as he worked his way up from the bottom after missing most of the fall with a broken ankle,” his parents said.  “He also has had some really great bull rides this season.”

The NHSFR features more than 1,650 contestants from 43 states, five Canadian provinces, Australia, and Mexico.  It is the world’s largest rodeo....
