Superintendent Laumeyer stated Architect Paul Youngquist and two additional architects were here today to start planning spaces with staff design teams. It’s been an exciting day! He introduced Jeff Seeley from Ehlers who explained the process of selling bonds, interest rates and using LTFM funds for potential HVAC projects. Paul Youngquist explained the upcoming additions and remodeling projects at Northside Elementary and the high school and how the HVAC projects could be incorporated during the processes to save money. Jeff Seeley explained a timeline to have funds available for the project.
Architect Paul Youngquist explained the floor plan at Northside after meeting with groups today on design, security, collaborative learning space, HVAC and activity space. They will also meet with groups on the auditorium, band room, etc. at the high school in the future.  Possible time lines were discussed. Supt. Laumeyer has submitted a grant application to the state for security improvements funding that will be awarded to 50 schools on a lottery basis.
