The Benson girls basketball team went 1-2 during the opening week of the 2018-19 season.  The Braves opened up the season with a 54-45 loss at Ortonville last Tuesday night, and then split a pair of games at the Benson Invitational, Friday and Saturday, losing to Morris Area in the first game, 60-43, but coming back to win the consolation championship game, Saturday over Ogilvie, 58-49. 

Morris Area routed MACCRAY in the title game, 67-34.

This week, the Braves were set to play at Paynesville, Tuesday (yesterday) and at defending Class AA champion Sauk Centre, Thursday (tomorrow)...
