MBA boys shut out by River Lakes in opener

The Morris-Benson Area boys hockey team kicked off the season with a 9-0 loss against River Lakes last Tuesday night in Morris.  The Storm were outshot 42-16 as River Lakes scored five goals in the first period and never looked back.

MBA, coached by Jeremiah Day, Tony Schultz, and Jeff DeHaan, were also set to play Windom Area, Saturday in Benson, but that game was postponed due to a snowstorm in southern Minnesota.

MBA has seven games in Benson this season and another seven in Morris.  All seven of the games in Benson are scheduled for Jan. 5 or earlier, and only two of the games at Morris are scheduled before 2019...
