The Benson boys basketball team snapped a long losing streak with a 71-64 victory over Montevideo last Tuesday night at home.  The Braves led for most of the game, and held on for the win, which ended a 28-game losing streak for the Benson boys basketball program.

The Braves also played at Paynesville, Friday, and stayed with the host Bulldogs for most of the game before Paynesville increased a 26-25 halftime lead with 45 points in the second half to earn a 71-56 non-conference win.

The Benson boys are set to host the Benson Boys Basketball Invitational this Friday and Saturday.  The Braves are set to host ACGC in one game, Friday, while MACCRAY and Hancock meet in the other game.

The two losers will play at 6 p.m., Saturday and the winners will play for the championship at about 7:30 p.m., Saturday...
