Benson girls hold on for 40-31 victory

The Benson girls averted a three-loss week and snapped a six-game losing skid with a 40-31 home win over Osakis, Friday night.  Earlier in the week, the Braves fell at home to Sauk Centre last Tuesday night, 75-37, and also lost at BOLD, Thursday 60-47.

Claire Ricard had a big night for the Braves against Osakis with 23 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and four steals.

The Braves are 5-13 overall and 2-7 in the WCC heading into the homestretch of the regular-season.  Benson was set to play at Minnewaska Area, Tuesday (yesterday before hosting Lakeview, Thursday (tomorrow), and playing at ACGC, Friday.  The game with Waska has been postponed to Monday, Feb. 11...
