The Benson wrestling team went 2-0 last week, winning both matches at the Border West triangular, Friday at Wheaton.  The Braves won both matches by wide margins, beating the host Buccaneers 55-18, and also routing Osakis, 60-15.

The Braves, who improved to 9-6 overall, were also supposed to host a triangular, Thursday with Team United and Marshall.  However, that meet was postponed and the match with Marshall will not be made up.

Benson is set to host KMS in a key section match, Friday at 5:30 p.m., and the Braves will also take on Team United (LQP, DB, and Montevideo) at 7 p.m. the same night.

It’s also Senior Night for the Braves, Friday, and Benson’s seven senior wrestlers and student managers will be honored for their service to the program.

Also coming up is the WCC Meet at BOLD, Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Benson now has 11 wrestlers with double-digit victories, including Jared Knutson (21-7), Brady Ascheman (19-13), Adam Koosmann (18-13), Dylan Stewart (17-8), Thomas Dineen (17-8), Adam Zosel (16-4), Alex Wrobleski (16-8), Wyatt McGee (15-7), Alden Syltie (15-15), Mike Nagler (14-15), and Hunter Mondor (11-10)...
