Benson Jr. Legion edges Morris, 7-6

The Benson Junior Legion won its seventh game in the last nine tries with a 7-6 victory at home over Morris last Tuesday night.  The Bandits trailed 6-3 after three innings, but rallied for the win with four runs over the final three innings, including the winning run with two outs in the seventh on an RBI-single by Sam Lenarz.

The Benson Jr. Legion, coached by Mark Grussing, improved to 4-2 in league action and 7-3 overall with the win.

Benson is set to host Kerkhoven at 5 p.m., Monday, before playing at ACGC, Tuesday (yesterday).  The following week, Benson is set to play at NLS, July 16 (6 p.m.) and at Kerkhoven, July 19 (4 p.m.) before getting ready for the playoffs...
