Braves snap 30-game losing streak with 32-12 victory over KMS during Battle for Swift County

The Benson football team broke a 30-game losing streak spanning three-plus years with a 32-12 victory over KMS, Friday night on Brock Field.  The Braves scored on the second-to-last play of the first half to go into halftime with a 20-12 lead and then dominated the second half, holding the Saints to only 43 second-half yards.

Abe Peterson and Will Enderson combined for four touchdowns for the Braves, who won for the first time since winning a three-overtime game at YME, Sept. 9, 2016, while Thomas Dineen opened up the scoring with a 7-yard touchdown run.

“What an exciting win for our football team, our school, and our community,” first-year head coach Adam Foslien said.  “Our guys played a tremendous football game on both sides of the ball.  Offensively, we relied on our passing game in the first half and then really cranked up our running game in the second half...”
