Boys cross-country team second at Benson Meet

The Benson-KMS cross-country program hosted the Benson Invitational last Monday at the Benson Golf Course.

The Benson-KMS boys took advantage of the home meet by placing second behind Lac qui Parle/Dawson-Boyd in a field that included most of the WCC teams.

Will Magaard placed seventh for Benson-KMS, while Jaron Furney was 14th and Landon Thompson 17th to lead the Fighting Braves to the runner-up finish behind the state-ranked LQP-DB team.

In the girls competition, Minnewaska edged LQP-DB for first place, while Morris Area-CA was a close third and Benson-KMS was seventh.  Leading the way for the girls team were Allie Mitteness in 23rd and Natalie Jorschumb in 35th...
