The Benson volleyball team split two WCC matches last week and has only one more scheduled date before the start of the Section 5A Volleyball Tourney.

The Braves shut out Montevideo last Tuesday night, but then fell in three games at home to Minnewaska Area, Thursday.  Benson is 8-14 overall and 3-10 in the WCC heading into this Tuesday’s (yesterday) match at Morris Area-CA to close out the regular-season.

Sauk Centre clinched the WCC title last week and is 13-0 overall with one match to go, while Melrose Area is 10-3, BOLD and Morris Area are both 8-5, Minnewaska is 7-6, Benson is 3-10, ACGC is 2-11, and Montevideo is 1-12.

The Section 5A Tourney continues Oct. 29 and Oct. 31 at LPGE and Little Falls, and the championship match is set for 7 p.m., Nov. 2 at Little Falls High School...
