Jeanette Marie Skoglund, 66, of Kerkhoven, died on Monday morning, October 21, 2019 at the Carris Health -  Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. Visitation will be held at Bethesda Lutheran Church in rural Murdock, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 p.m. on, Friday, October 25, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm at Bethesda Lutheran Church. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home.


Jeanette Marie Skoglund was born on May 16, 1953, the daughter of Arthur and Myrtle (Hanson) Hylland, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Jean grew up in Benson, Minnesota and graduated from Benson High School. On August 11, 1973, Jean was united in marriage to Donald Skoglund at The Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope, Minnesota. This union was blessed with over 46 years of marriage, 3 daughters and two grandchildren.


Jean and Donnie raised their three daughters in Buffalo and Murdock. She really enjoyed her job as a lab-tech at Agvise in Benson. She enjoyed playing BINGO, reading, taking pictures of her family and friends, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was called from this life on Monday morning, October 21 at Carris Health-Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. She attained the age of 66 years, 5 months, and 5 days.


Jean is survived by her husband Donnie; her daughters Angela (Jason) Case, of Lakeville, Carrie (Brad) Wingo of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Hollie (Loren) Molenaar of Raymond; two grandchildren, Ellie and Reece Wingo; siblings Irene Sorenson of Lindstrom, Doris (Wendal) Brateng of New Hope, Barb (Wayne) Lunsetter of Gatzke, twin brother John Hylland of Montrose, Keith Hylland of Kerkhoven, and Gail Nelson of Mora. She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Myrtle Hylland, a brother Lloyd Sletten, and her father and mother in law Reuben and Frances Skoglund. Blessed be her memory.
