Benson volleyball to open up sections at home

The Benson volleyball team closed out the regular-season with a 3-0 loss at Morris Area-CA last Tuesday night.  The Braves closed out the regular-season with an 8-14 overall record and 3-11 mark within the WCC to place sixth in the final standings.

Sauk Centre won the league title with a perfect 14-0 record, followed by Melrose Area at 11-3, BOLD and Morris Area at 9-5 each, Minnewaska Area at 7-7, Benson at 3-11, ACGC at 2-12, and Montevideo at 1-13.

Benson also will be seeded third in its “pod” of Section 5A when the final seedings come out this week and the Braves will open up the section tourney at 7 p.m., Thursday (tomorrow) at home against Kaleidoscope Charter School (2-18 record)...
