Boys cross-country team second at WCC Meet

The Benson-KMS cross-country teams competed at the WCC Cross-Country Meet at the Pomme de Terre Golf Course near Morris.

The Benson-KMS boys finished as runners-up behind Melrose Area, while Montevideo was third, Morris Area was fourth, Sauk Centre fifth, and Minnewaska Area sixth.

In the girls competition, Minnewaska Area edged Morris Area-CA by five points for the team title, while Melrose was third, Sauk Centre fourth, Benson-KMS and Montevideo tied for fifth, and BOLD-BLHS was seventh.

Will Magaard placed third for the Benson-KMS boys, while Jaron Furney was sixth and Landon Thompson was ninth.  They all earned All-Conference for the Fighting Braves, while Jacob Stalling, who was 22nd, earned honorable mention.

For the Benson-KMS girls, Allie Mitteness placed 14th to earn placement on the honorable mention team...
