Gymnasts second at WCC Meeet

The Benson-KMS gymnastics team placed second of four teams at the WCC Gymnastics Meet, Saturday at Melrose.

The host Dutchmen won the meet with a score of 145.65, while Benson-KMS was second at 137.85, its third-highest point total of the season.

Based on results from the regular season and WCC Tourney, four members of the gymnastics team earned postseason honors.

Mariah Ahrndt, Libby McGeary, and Makenna Kelley all earned All-Conference this season, while Torie Andrews earned honorable mention.  It was the sixth-straight All-WCC honor for Ahrndt.

This week, the Benson-KMS gymnastics team is set to compete at the Section 6A Tourney at Howard Lake-WW.  The top team and top individuals from each of the events will earn a trip to the State Gymnastics Meet, set for Feb. 21-22 at the University of Minnesota.
