Oral B. Lansverk, 96, of Starbuck, MN, formerly of Benson, died Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Holly Ridge Manor Assisted Living in Starbuck. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.  Interment will be at 12:15 in Spring Creek Cemetery in rural Kerkhoven, Swift County, Minnesota.  Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home.


Oral B. Lansverk was born March 23, 1924, the son of Herman and Alma (Hagen) Lansverk. He was baptized and confirmed at Spring Creek Lutheran Church. He received his education in the rural Kerkhoven area.


On June 20, 1953, he was united in marriage to Doris Bredeson at Chippewa Falls Lutheran Church in Terrace, MN by Rev. Oliver Pederson. He farmed in Kerkhoven Township until 1966 when he began construction work and later formed his own construction company.


Oral was a member of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, where he was a member of usher’s club and served on the property board. He was also a member of the Putts & Purrs Tractor Club.


He enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing, camping, traveling, woodworking, computers, and the farm. He was proud of his Norwegian heritage and traveled to Norway three times to trace his family records.


Oral passed from this life on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Holly Ridge Manor Assisted Living in Starbuck.  He attained the age of 96 years, 3 months and 2 days. He is survived by his niece, Linda Syverson of Paynesville, MN; and nephews Rick Olson of Brooten, MN, and Bradley Olson of Andover, MN.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Alma (Hagen) Lansverk; his wife, Doris Lansverk on November 7, 2018; one sister, Delores Olson; and brother-in-law, LeeRoy Olson. Blessed be his memory.
