Braves win third-straight with 45-6 rout of B-EV

The Benson football team is on a roll.  Averaging 42 points a game in its last three outings, the Braves won their third-straight game Friday at Browerville, beating the previously-unbeaten Tigers, 45-6.

The Braves led 24-6 in a dominant first-half performance and then added 21 points in the fourth quarter while holding the high-scoring B-EV offense to just six total points.

“Wow, what an unbelievable game,” head coach Adam Foslien said.  “Our guys were up to the challenge, and man did they respond, winning dominantly on both sides of the football.  To go on the road and beat two state ranked teams in consecutive weeks says a lot about this football team, which has won three-straight road games.”

Benson is now 3-1 heading into this Friday’s 6 p.m. home game against Upsala-Swanville Area, which fell to KMS this past Friday, 12-8.  The game is also Senior Night for the Braves...
