The KMS football team ended the 2020 season with a 3-2 overall record.  The Saints had their season cut short following a 26-0 shutout win over BBE, Nov. 6.  Following the game, head coach Jason Fernholz informed the team that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and the team would be forced to cancel the rest of the season.

The Saints did finish with at least a .500 record for the fifth-straight season after going 5-5, 5-5, 9-2, and 5-5 the previous four seasons and this year’s seniors at least finished their high school careers with a victory, not something a lot of high school football players get to do.

“I thought the season went pretty well given the circumstances.  We were dealt a difficult hand to start knowing starting linebacker and fullback Brandon Kallstrom would be out the year with an injury before the season had even started,” coach Jason Fernholz said.  “We had a really great group of guys who were bought in.  They were all very coachable and they worked hard.  Besides the first game (28-0 loss to Kimball), we were very competitive.  We had a heart to heart talk after the first game and we challenged our group and stressed competing and improving hard each day.”
