Violet Razink, 86, of Bagley, Minnesota died Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Cornerstone Assisted Living in Bagley, Minnesota.  

Memorial services will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bagley. Visitation will be held one hour prior.  

Violet was born July 21, 1935 in Glenwood, Minnesota the daughter of Melvin and Leona (Foner) Cummins.  Violet was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith.  She grew up in Glenwood and Park Rapids, graduating in the early 1950’s.  

She went to college to be a transcriptionist and worked for the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, Minnesota and the Benson Hospital in Benson, Minnesota in the medical records department. She would go on to retire from Rice Memorial Hospital.  

Violet married Donald Razink in 1955 at the Glenwood Lutheran Church.  Together they had three sons; Steven, Brad and Jeff.  Later, Violet and Donald divorced.  Violet lived in Olivia, Park Rapids and Alexandria, but due to having a stroke and poor health she moved to Cornerstone Assisted Living in Bagley to be closer to her son and family.

Violet loved her dog Molly and bird watching.  She had a knack for her house plants and enjoyed puzzles.  Playing Whist with her grandkids always made for a good time.  Violet loved to travel and traveled to many places such as Hawaii and Florida. Before she got ill, Violet looked forward to spending her summers on Lake Minnewaska with her friend, George. 

She is survived by her son Steven (Jeanna) Razink of Shevlin, Minnesota; sister Gloria Town of Park Rapids, Minnesota; sister Margie Hoff of Park Rapids; sister Bonnie Federation of Wisconsin;  brother John Cummins of Park Rapids; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband Donald Razink; sons Brad and Jeff Razink; sisters: Dorothy Vollan and Elaine Schwendemann; and brother Virgil Cummins.
