PUBLIC NOTICE

 The Langhei Township Annual meeting will be held on March 9, 2021.  The elections are for one Supervisor (3yr. term) and Treasurer (2yr. term). Voting hours are 5:00-8:00 p.m. The Annual Meeting will be held from 4:00-5:00 p.m. at the Langhei Township Hall.  In case of inclement weather the election will be held on March 16, 2021, same place and time.

The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) has funded an award for Federal assistance from the City of Benson to construct a Wastewater Treatment Facility Flood Control Berm and wastewater mainline sewer improvement project in the City of Benson, Swift County Minnesota for the purpose of protecting the facility that sits directly adjacent to the Chippewa River from flooding. Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, EDA has conducted an environmental assessment (EA) of the project.

The work session meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Chair Brian Samuelson.  Members present:  Paul Carruth, Mary KW Langan, Eric Peterson, Brian Samuelson, Gary Williams, James Berens.
Members absent:  Bill McGeary.  Also present: Dennis Laumeyer, Mike Knutson, Katie Foley.
Agenda approved.
Teacher Serverance:  The board held the first reading of the Teacher Severance Offering.
Truth in Taxation Hearing: The Truth in Taxation Hearing was opened at 6:00 p.m.  The Levy Adoption is set for Monday, December 14, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.  The Truth in Taxation Hearing was closed at 6:42 p.m.
e-Learning Plan:  The board held the first reading of the district e-Learning plan.

MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL SCHOOL BOARD MEETING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 777, Benson, Minnesota Monday, November 30, 2020 – 5:30 p.m. Northside Elementary School Cafeteria

The meeting was called to order at 5:33 p.m. by Chair Brian Samuelson.  Members present:  Mary KW Langan, Bill McGeary, Eric Peterson, Gary Williams, Jim Berens, Brian Samuelson and Paul Carruth joined the meeting via Zoom. Members absent:  None.  Also present: Dennis Laumeyer, Katie Foley, Garrett Schmidt, Brock Duncan, Reed Anfinson, Kari Thompson, Kim Ulland, Jen DeBaere, and others via Zoom.
MSHSL Foundation:  The board approved the Resolution of School Board Supporting Form A Application to Minnesota State High School League Foundation.
B-KMS Cooperative Activities:  The board accepted the $25,000 annual participation fee from KMS and to alternate B-KMS cross country practices between Benson and KMS.  In addition, KMS must sign the cooperative agreements with these terms added and return to Benson no later than Friday, December 4, 2020.
