SWIFT COUNTY BOARD MINUTES January 19, 2021

Chairman Fox called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. with all members present. Also present: County Administrator Kelsey Baker and Terri Orr.
Chairman Fox asked if there were any changes to the agenda. There were none.
01-19-21-01 Commissioner E. Pederson moved and Commissioner Hendrickx seconded to approve the agenda. Motion carried unanimously.
01-19-21-02 Commissioner Hendrickx moved and Commissioner P. Peterson seconded to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of: (1) Minutes from the December 31, 2020 Regular Meeting, (2) Minutes from the January 5, 2021 Regular Meeting, (3) Approval of appointment of Extension Committee member Emma Ascheman, 2-year youth term, starting January 2021. Recommendation made by the Swift County Extension committee at their meeting November 18, 2020. Motion carried unanimously.

PUBLIC NOTICE

CALL FOR QUOTES-The Six Mile Grove Township Board of Supervisors will be accepting quotes on the following: Class 5 Gravel on a per yard basis delivered anywhere in Six Mile Grove Township by August 1st.   Quotes for Grading, Snow Removal, Mowing (a minimum 9 foot top cut) on a per hour basis, also quotes for spraying.  Remit quotes with Certificate of Insurance by February 26, 2021 to Sara Wersinger at 420 Minnesota Ave., Danvers, MN 56231.  The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any or all quotes, to waive any information therein and to accept quotes deemed most advantageous to the Township.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR QUOTES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for the Concrete Work for 2021 will be received by the Benson City Council at City Hall, 1410 Kansas Ave., Benson, MN 56215 until 2:30 pm, February 11, 2021, for the purpose of furnishing all necessary skills, tools, materials, forms and labor to furnish and install the following approximate quantities (may vary):
 
                ▪ 2000 square feet of 4” flat concrete
                ▪ 500 linear feet of curb
                ▪ 4 truncated domes for pedestrian ramps
 
A Proposal Form may be obtained at the office of the Public Works Director, City Hall, 1410 Kansas Avenue, Benson, MN 56215, or by calling 320-843-5468.
 
Bids shall be honored during the 2021 season.   
 
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept any bid deemed to be most favorable to the interest of the City of Benson.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed quotes will be received by the Benson City Council at City Hall, 1410 Kansas Ave., Benson, MN 56215 until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2021 for the purpose of furnishing all necessary skills, tools, materials, forms, and labor to furnish and install the following approximate quantities:
 
▪ 2,500 ton paver laid bituminous, more or less divided between large and small areas
 
A bid sheet can be obtained by calling City Hall at 320-843-4775.
 
No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 60 days after the date of its opening.
 
The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all quotes or waive any informality contained therein.

SWIFT COUNTY BOARD MINUTES January 5, 2021

County Auditor Kim Saterbak called the organizational meeting to order at 9:00 AM with all Commissioners present as well as Administrator Kelsey Baker, County Attorney Danielle Olson, Sheriff John Holtz, Amanda Ness and Terri Orr.
Auditor Saterbak asked for nominations for Chair of the Board. Commissioner Rudningen nominated Commissioner Fox. Auditor Saterbak asked for additional nominations.  
01-05-21-01 Commissioner P. Peterson moved nomination cease and a unanimous ballot be cast and Commissioner Hendrickx seconded.  Motion carried unanimously and Commissioner Fox was named Board Chair for 2021. (Resolution No. 21-01-01)
Auditor Saterbak asked for nominations for Vice Chair of the Board. Commissioner P. Peterson nominated Commissioner Fox. Auditor Saterbak asked for additional nominations.
