SWIFT COUNTY BOARD MINUTES June 04, 2019

Chairman Hendrickx called the meeting to order at 9:01 AM with all members present with the exception of Commissioner Rudningen. Also present: County Administrator Kelsey Baker, Terri Orr, other county employees and members of the public.

Chairman Hendrickx asked if there were any changes or additions to the agenda. Chairman Hendrickx added a Chippewa River Watershed invoice to be discussed prior to warrants. There were no other changes or additions requested.

06-04-19-01 Commissioner Fox moved and Commissioner E. Pederson seconded to approve the agenda as amended. Motion carried unanimously.

06-04-19-02 Commissioner E. Pederson moved and Commissioner Fox seconded to approve the Consent Agenda: (1) Minutes from the May 21, 2019 Regular Meeting, (2) Approval of tobacco licenses for the following businesses: Holloway Hideout, Dollar General # 17229 and Dooley’s Petroleum dba Handi-Stop of Kerkhoven. Motion carried unanimously.

Notice of Public Hearing on Small Cities Development Program (SCDP) Benson

  NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Benson will hold a public hearing on July 1, at 5:30 pm at City of Benson Council Chambers to discuss the SCDP grant from the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).

The grant has and is for rehabilitation of low/moderate income owner-occupied single family and commercial building rehabilitation. 

The public hearing is intended to provide citizens an update and to learn more about the comprehensive program, including the costs associated with the activities described above as well as solicit input on community development and housing needs in the community that might be addressed through the SCDP program.   

All persons who may have an interest in the program are encouraged to attend the public hearing.  Information and records regarding the grant are available within City Hall during regular office hours.

Contractor's sealed Proposals for the 2020 Northside Elementary School Additions and Alterations will be received by the Independent School District No. 777, Benson, Minnesota, until Thursday June 27, 2019 at the office of the Superintendent of Schools, in Benson, Minnesota, in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by, Architects Rego + Youngquist, LLC, 7601 Wayzata Boulevard, St. Louis Park, Minnesota 55426.

Sealed bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at the time and place. Bids received after 2:00 PM will returned unopened. Faxed bids will not be allowed. Do not submit bids for individual specification sections. Submit bids according to Bid Categories. Do not submit bids or deliver to the Construction Manager, this is not a general contractor job.
