Beatrice Germaine Weber, 93, died Tuesday morning, April 18, 2023, at Scandi Haven Village in Benson.  Visitation was held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2023, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 3:00 p.m. Interment followed the service at Church of the Visitation Catholic Cemetery in Danvers. Memorials can be sent to Centra Care Hospice, 301 Becker Ave SW, Willmar, MN 56201.

Beatrice Germaine Weber was born in 1929 to parents Rudy and Louise Fangsrud. She was raised on a farm near Milnor, North Dakota, where she helped with the chores, farming, and raising chickens and turkeys. She was educated at the Milnor Public Schools. She graduated from the Practical Nursing Course at Fergus Falls, Minnesota at Wright Hospital and worked there and at Veblen Hospital, South Dakota as a nurse.

September 12, 1950, she married Peter Weber at Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church at Cayuga, North Dakota. They moved to Danvers, Minnesota, and Peter managed the Farmer’s Co-op Elevator. After Peter died in 1997, Bea spent her time with family, church, and her garden. She received the bishop’s medal in 1997 from Bishop Lucker. She was a long-time communion distributor at the church and nursing homes. Bea enjoyed gardening, sewing rugs and quilts, and country and gospel music. She was also interested in adoption and foster care.

She is survived by her children: Jim Weber (Kathy) of MN, Paul Weber (Nadia Chigrin) of IL, John Weber of ND, Maria Duane (Steve) of MN, Anna Winn of ND, Mary Weber of WY, Joseph Weber (Melissa Hollatz) of CA, Margaret Weber of MN, and Tina Taylor (Jay) of ND. She is also survived by sisters Frances and Marvel, brothers Armand and Henry, 18 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, stepfather Henry Brickzen; sisters Jewel and Sandy; brothers Leland, Jim, and Roger; husband Peter; son Thomas; grandson Peter; brothers-in-law Paul McConnell and Jerome Weber; and 13 other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

The family would like to thank Centra Care Hospice for their loving care of our mother during her illness.
