Last June, when the search for a new Benson city manager came up empty, the city council had one request of Liza Donabauer, a management consultant with David Drown and Associates (DDA): “Find us a city manager.”
As they renewed the search, the council named Finance Director Glen Pederson the permanent city manager. He had been acting as interim city manager after long-time City Manager Rob Wolfington retired last April.
Donabauer renewed her search, though she told the council that it was a tough market and that it would have to up its salary offer. Now the city council has three finalists for the job that it will be bringing to the community and interviewing in early September.
