Benson was coming off their second win of the season against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City in the final game of the regular season. The Braves earned the fourth seed in the Section 4A playoffs and hosted the Falcons for the second straight week in Benson. While the Braves did not shutout ACGC like they did the previous week, Benson still blew out ACGC 46-6 to advance to the second round.
Starting quarterback Darin Hippe was injured in the game last week, leaving Noah Goossen to start in the playoff game against ACGC.
The Braves opened up the scoring with a 43-yard touchdown run through the left side of the line for a touchdown to give Benson a 6-0 lead less than a minute into the game. While it did not take much time to score their first touchdown, Benson could not get back into the endzone for the rest of the first quarter.
