Brave-Owls split with Sauk Centre

The Benson-Hancock softball team went 1-2 last week to put its record at 5-10 overall and 3-10 in the WCC heading into the final week of the regular-season.
The Brave-Owls split a doubleheader with Sauk Centre last Tuesday night in Benson, winning the first game 7-5, but losing the second, 12-7.  Two nights later, Benson-Hancock lost a close game at Montevideo, 6-4.
Benson-Hancock was set to close out the regular-season with a game at Atwater-CGC, Tuesday.  The Section 3AA Tourney is set to begin Tuesday, May 24.  For a look at possible first-round pairings for B-H, pick up a copy of this week's paper and turn to Speaking of Sports on page 3B.
