The Benson girls team had three games last week and picked up one win in those three games. The week started off on the right foot with a 64-35 win over the Ashby Arrows Feb. 5 on the road. Next, they were on the road again against MACA Feb. 8 and the Tigers took the game 67-31. They capped the week off with a home game against Dawson-Boyd Feb. 9 and Benson dropped the game 74-40.

What appeared to be a close game between Benson and Ashby in the first half, turned into a blowout in the second half. On the road, Benson dominated the second half and went off for a 29-point win.
In the first half, Ashby was the team that held the lead for the majority of the half. The Braves did end the half on a mini 9-2 run to take a 23-19 advantage into the locker room for halftime.
Benson was a different team in the first half and it started early. Ashby scored the first two points of the half, but then Benson went on a furious 30-5 run to take a 53-26 advantage. That was more than enough to get the job done and Benson was able to coast through the final minutes to come up with a 29-point win over the Arrows.
