Braves fall to ACGC in regular-season finale; to play at KMS in 4A opener

The Benson football team fell to Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City last Wednesday night during the annual MEA football game, 42-6.  The Braves played without at least three of its starters during the game and also faced the task of battling wind, rain, and cold.

Benson stayed close through most of the first half before the Falcons scored two touchdowns in the second quarter to take charge of the game.

ACGC, which improved to 3-5 overall, outgained the Braves 364-39 and also had 11 first downs compared to just three for Benson, which was playing without Thomas Dineen, Brady DeHaan, and Ayden Ehmcke, all two-way starters, along with battling injuries for other players as well...
