Braves go 1-1 at Willmar Holiday Tournament

The Benson boys basketball team finished third at the Willmar Bremer Bank Holiday Classic last Thursday and Friday.  The Braves fell to Willmar in the first game, Thursday, 76-45, but came back to rout New Century Academy of Hutchinson in the third-place game, Friday, 66-23.
The Braves are 6-5 overall heading into 2014.  Benson was set to play at Atwater-CGC, Friday, before hosting Yellow Medicine East, Friday, Jan. 10.

Willmar shot over 50 percent and outrebounded Benson by a 40-16 margin on the way to a 76-45 victory in the semifinals of the Willmar Holiday Tourney, Thursday.
