Braves top Hancock, Redwood

Lead Summary

The Benson baseball team improved to 5-4 overall with a 2-2 week last week.  The Braves opened up the week with an 11-2 loss at Sauk Centre last Monday night, but came back the next night to edge Hancock, 5-4.  The week came to a close with two games at Montevideo, Friday.  Benson fell to Lakeview in the first game, 5-3, but came back later in  the night to beat Redwood Valley, 5-2.
The Braves, who are 1-3 in the conference, have three dates scheduled this week beginning with a doubleheader at Paynesville, Tuesday (lost both) and continuing with a game at Morris Area, Thursday (tomorrow), and at NLS, Friday.
