Cold shooting leads to two losses for Braves at tourney

The Benson boys basketball team fell to 1-6 overall with a pair of losses at the Redwood Valley Holiday Tournament, Thursday and Friday.
The Braves opened up the tourney with a 75-59 loss to the host Cardinals and then fell to Martin County West in the third-place game, 63-55.
Lakeview edged Martin County West in the other semifinals game, Thursday, 60-58, and Redwood Valley routed Lakeview for the title, 79-65.
Benson has two home games set for the first week of 2017.  The Braves were set to host Paynesville, Thursday (tomorrow) and ACGC, Friday....
