Council delays action on edibles containing THC

Last month a law allowing the sale of edible products and beverages containing small amounts of THC went into effect in Minnesota catching many communities by surprise. A person has to be at least 21 years old to buy the products that were made legal as of July 1.
They weren’t the only ones surprised. So were some members of the Legislature who said they didn’t realize the law they had passed would legalize the sale of a cannabis product that could get people high.
