County moving ahead with clock tower chimes

With around $12,000 of the $16,200 needed to install a chimes system in the Swift County Courthouse clock tower, the Swift County Chimes Committee has more than fulfilled its pledge to raise at least half the funds needed.
However, while the funds are now available for their installation, a potential roadblock to the project moving forward was eliminated at the county board’s Sept. 5 meeting. Who would oversee their operation, deal with public questions, and set policy were all questions that remained to answer.
