County prefers Countryside for providing jail nursing

Swift County would prefer to see Countryside Public Health continue providing jail nursing services rather than outsourcing it to Advanced Correctional Health, Inc.

That was the message the board of commissioners gave Countryside’s Executive Director Liz Auch at their meeting Tuesday, Feb. 7.

However, it will take Countryside’s board approving a proposed contract for the jail nursing service and both Chippewa and Lac qui Parle counties also agreeing to go with the public health agency before it becomes a reality.
