Demuth leads KMS girls to win over D-B

Lead Summary

Eleven players hit the scoring for KMS during an 81-46 road win over Dawson-Boyd last Tuesday night, including four that scored in double figures.  The win pushed the Saints’ record to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in the Camden North.
KMS is set to play in the Windom Holiday Tourney, Tuesday (yesterday) and Wednesday (today) before getting ready for its next home game Tuesday, Jan. 4 against Tracy Area.
KMS 81, Dawson-Boyd 46
Hayley Demuth had 14 points to lead the Saints to an 81-46 win at Dawson-Boyd last Tuesday night.  KMS led 39-20 at halftime before going on to outscore the home team 42-26 in the second half.
Acelynn Hacker added 13 points and six steals, while Josie Gjerde also had 13 points, and Shakira Olson ended the night with 10.
Katherine Dahl had 12 points and five boards for D-B, which fell to 0-7 overall.
It was the high point total for KMS, whose previous high was 52 points during a 52-51 win over Renville County West.
Madelyn Luft had a good game with seven points, six rebounds, five steals, and four blocks, while Julia Carlson and Emily Wagner both had six points, Elsa Gjerde and Grace Collins both had four, and Sophia Oerter and Alana Hettver chipped in with two points each.
