Does Benson turn to assessments to fix streets?

Few people will deny that there are streets and avenues in the City of Benson that could use a lot of work. Potholes, erosions along curb edges, and general deterioration of the driving surface are all too common.
Benson’s challenge in repairing the streets is cost and time. At its Oct. 17 meeting, the Benson City Council discussed the possibility of for the first time assessing some of the costs of a street project to the properties that get the direct benefit.
