Four days before former Benson elementary teacher Roger Ebnet’s omnibus hearing was scheduled to take place in Swift County 8th Judicial Court, it was delayed for 60 days. It is now scheduled to take place March 28.

January 27, Meeker County Attorney Brandi L. Schiefelbein acting as special assistant Swift County Attorney, asked 8th Judicial District Court Judge Melissa Listug to delay the omnibus hearing for 60 days.

“The basis for the continuance request is to allow adequate time for the parties to continue to review and discuss the discovery as well as to allow time for appropriate redactions to be completed so that all discovery may be released prior to the hearing,” Schiefelbein wrote.
