Gymnasts win opener over Marshall with 129.225 total

The Benson- KMS- Montevideo gymnastics team opened up the season with two meets last week.  The Fighting Braves beat Marshall in the season opener, Thursday, in Benson, 129.225-95.85 and then placed third of six teams at the Morris Invitational, Saturday, with a score of 131.175.

“The gymnasts are off to a great start this year, scoring over 131 points in the second meet of the season,” coach Kathy Ahrndt said.  

This week, Benson-KMS was set to host Redwood Valley, Tuesday (yesterday) at the Benson Armory, before competing at Ortonville, Friday.  The meet against Redwood Valley is also a “Tumble for Toys” promotion.  Fans are invited to bring an unwrapped toy or case donation to the meet for the local Toys for Tots campaign....
