Countryside’s Elizabeth Auch given public health leadership award

The Local Public Health Association of Minnesota (LPHA) presented Countryside Public Health Director Elizabeth Auch, Public Health wit its 2024 Barbara O’Grady Excellence in Public Health Nursing Leadership Award.
Auch was selected for her leadership in public health nursing at the state and local levels. The selection committee includes representatives from state and local public health departments, the Minnesota Public Health Association, and the University of Minnesota.
Auch has led numerous programs throughout the span of her career in public health. The examples of her efforts are numerous including such as creating a large, multi-county family home visiting program to support new parents; creation of clinics to serve community members; being an early adopter of public health informatics; advocacy for rural public health; securing funding for a rural-focused public health communications project; and, service as a leader on numerous regional and state-level committees.
Auch developed relationships throughout the region and across the state to advance public health practice.
