Pete was born October 14, 1957, in Blue Earth, Minnesota to Abraham & Sereina (DeWaard) Holleman. In 1968, the family moved to the family farm outside Hancock.
Pete graduated from Hancock High School in 1976 and received an Associate's Degree in Ag Business Sales from Hutchinson Tech College in 1977. Pete worked at Marten's Distribution in Morris until he returned to the family farm. Pete farmed with his dad, brother Jim, and his nephew Tony, before retiring in 2008.
Pete thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, err whatever. Pete was happiest when he was cheering on his nieces and nephews at their events, watching or listening to sports, talking farming, playing cards or tallying truckloads during harvest. Pete's family was excited when he joined the 21st Century and got a cell phone. He then was inundated with texts and photos and kept up with their adventures from the farm.
Pete leaves behind his five siblings: Joyce Holleman of Riverside, CA, James (Kathy) Holleman of Benson, Linda (Keith) Nack of Osakis, Allen (Diane) Holleman of West Fargo, ND, and Mark (Jodi) Holleman of Hancock; nieces and nephews: Molly (John) Kline, Tony (Maggie) Holleman, Andrew (Amanda) Nack, Aaron Nack, Jacob Holleman, Kaitlyn (Greg) Newenhouse, Jordan (Lauren) Holleman, Nathan (Brandi) Holleman, Breanna (Nick) Smith, Taylor (Tiana) Holleman; great nieces & nephews: Kinley & Cullen Kline, Aiden & Austin Holleman, Harlow Nack, August Newenhouse, Natalie Holleman, McKinley & Asher Holleman, Cashton, Crew & Carsyn Smith, Tenley Holleman; and many aunts, uncles & cousins.
