Joan Pittman Barrett, 77, of Clara City, Minnesota died Thursday, July 28, 2022 at her home. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 2 at Buffalo Lake Lutheran Church in rural DeGraff. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m., Monday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Clara City and continue one hour prior to her service. Burial will be at the church cemetery. www.hafh.org
Joan Pittman Barrett was born January 20, 1945, to Phaen and Dorothy (Iler) Pittman on a farm house south of DeGraff. She worked at Jennie-O Turkey Store and Thrifty Drug in Willmar and in her later years she worked at Innovex in Montevideo.  
October 7, 1967, Joan was united in marriage to Roger Barrett. To this union three boys were born: Scott, Jeff and Keith.
Joan enjoyed camping at Dilly’s Resort on West Norway Lake, cooking for her family, weekly visits to Lumpy’s in Maynard and going to the casino. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her husband, Roger; sons: Scott (Jackie) Barrett of DeGraff, and Keith Barrett of Clara City; six beautiful grandchildren: Danielle Barrett, Brandon (Lexi) Barrett, Jordan Barrett, Faith Barrett, Joshua Ronholdt and Chase Buckmann; and five great-grandchildren: Avery, Ramsey, Buckley, Ambry and Amethyst. She is also survived by her siblings: Dianne (Jamie) Marquardt of Pascal, WA and Janet Marquardt of Benson; sister-in-law, Irma Pittman of DeGraff and many nieces, nephews and other family. 
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff; parents; sister, Donna Mae Ostendorf; brother, Donald Pittman and two nieces: Cheryl Ostendorf and Tammy Freiborg, and nephews: Jesse Pittman and Chad Marquart.
