The Saints, coming off a 6-17 season from a year ago, swept past the Owls 25-23, 25-20, 25-21.
Back to lead the Saints this year is second-year head coach Joquel Molenaar, who is assisted by Tami Ruff and Laura Suter.
Gone from last year’s team are Megan Holt, Jessica Walz, Kelly Holt, Lyndsay Jorgenson, Erin Haglund, and Sam Dunn, but among the returning letterwinners are seniors Shelby Baker, Madison Strandberg, and Katie Wilts; and juniors Alison Krieger, Elizabeth Wilts, and Kalli Forsell.

The Saints won the key points to pull out a three-game sweep over Hancock last Tuesday night in Kerkhoven, 25-23, 25-20, 25-21. Every game was close, but KMS was able to come through with big kills down the stretch to win the opener.
In the first game, KMS trailed early 0-3 and 1-4, but came back to take an 11-8 lead. Hancock scored five-straight points to go up 13-11, but an ace-tip by Elizabeth Wilts and an ace-serve by Kalli Forsell gave KMS the lead for good at 15-14.
