KMS wrestlers second and Benson fourth at Braves Wrestling Classic

The Benson wrestling team hosted the Braves Wrestling Classic, Friday, with Tracy Area winning the 8-team title.  
KMS, which finished second, had three individual champions with Trey Gunderson (106 pounds), Noah Johnson (120), and Coy Gunderson (160), while Benson, which finished fourth overall, had two individual titleists in Nathan Bolduc (170) and Thomas Dineen (195).
This week, Benson was set to take part in a quadrangular at Montevideo, Thursday (tomorrow) and the Milbank Invitational, Saturday, while KMS was set to compete at Osakis, Friday, and at the Ogilvie Tourney, Saturday.
Thomas Dineen is still undefeated at 14-0 and ranked first in state for the Braves through the 2021 portion of the schedule while Trey Gunderson is undefeated at 16-0 for the Saints and is ranked first in state at 106 pounds.
Braves Wrestling Classic
The Saints placed second and the Braves were fourth overall at the Braves Wrestling Classic.  Tracy Area won the 8-team overall title with 211.5 points, followed by KMS (179.5), Hibbing (156.5), and Benson (138).
Nathan Bolduc and Thomas Dineen earned individual titles for the Braves.  Bolduc went 3-0 to win the 170-pound title, while Dineen was 2-0 at 195 pounds to also win the championship.
Placing second for Benson was Alex Whitcup at 132 pounds, while earning thirds were Max Nygaard at 106 pounds and Preston McGee at 160, and placing fourth were Mu Tah Wah at 126 pounds and Blake Wieme at 132.  Benson also had five fifths and three sixths.
•  For KMS, Trey Gunderson was 3-0 at 106 pounds to win the title and stay perfect for the season, while Noah Johnson was 3-0 to win the 120-pound title, and Coy Gunderson was 3-0 to win the 160-pound championship.
KMS also had Jett Olson (145 pounds), Masyn Olson (195), and Jason Jones (285) earn runner-up, while Ely Johnson was third at 152 pounds, and Logan Johnson (138), Aaron Jones (170), Owen Kidrowski (182), and Collin Johnson (220) all placed fourth.
All 11 of KMS’ wrestlers placed first through fourth.
