Purple water and leaks make for challenging year

For a couple years now the City of Benson has known that it has a big leak, or maybe a number of small ones, that are draining water out of the Benson Family Aquatic Center pool.
While on average the pool is losing about 4 inches of water per day, Public Works Director Dan Gens told the Benson City Council at its meeting Monday night that this past weekend it lost a foot.
