Robert “Bob” Ivan Emmert, 56, was called from this life Monday, July 18, 2022 at his home in Gilbert, AZ.   Visitation will be held 10 a.m.,  Wednesday, Aug. 17, followed by a service at 11 a.m. at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.
Robert Ivan Emmert was born December 25, 1965, in Benson, Minnesota, the son of Ivan and Sharon (Petz) Emmert.  He grew up on the farm until age six.  He attended grade school in various schools in Northern Minnesota.  He returned to the farm at age 13 and attended Starbuck  school.  He entered the  Army in the spring of 1984 and was honorably discharged in 1988.  
Bob worked in Grand Forks, ND as a helicopter mechanic following his discharge.  He married Peg Ferguson.  He returned to the farm and farmed several years.  Bob’s last 25 years he drove semi cross-country. He married Nancy Olson on Dec. 12, 2009, and they enjoyed nine years of marriage. Bob retired from driving semi and made his home in Arizona in 2021.  
Bob enjoyed time at the lake, friends, family, deer hunting, fishing, music, reading, ball games and watching TV.  Bob was a hard worker, loved baby animals, and being “Uncle Bob”.  Bob could always make you laugh.  He had the most infectious laugh.  When he laughed, you also laughed.
Bob is survived by his mother, Sharon Torma of Morris; step-mother, Teresa Emmert of Hancock; sister, Sue (Jerry) VanderWeyst of Benson; brothers: Andrew Emmert of Hancock, Chris (DeAnna) Emmert of Hancock, Matias (Jess) Torma of Hancock, and John(Anne) Torma of Morris as well as nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Patty and Jerry Wrobleski, Joyce and Greg Hannaberg, John Edward Kill, Leland and Alice Wrobleski and nieces and nephews.
Bob is preceeded in death by his wife Nancy; his first wife, Peg Ferguson Emmert; father, Ivan Emmert; brother Robin; grandparents; mother-in-law, Roberta and sister-in-law, Deb.
