Carolyn A. (Nelson) Johnson

 

Carolyn A. (Nelson) Johnson, 92, of Duluth, died Thursday, July 2, 2020 at her apartment in Keystone Bluffs Assisted Living.

She was born in Chesterton, IN on April 29, 1928, to Carl and Lillian Nelson.  She was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She graduated from Chesterton High School and from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. She married Rev. Donald Johnson on May 2, 1959, in Chesterton, IN.  After they married, they lived in Sacred Heart, MN, Duluth, MN and Benson, MN before retiring and moving back to Duluth.

Lillian Adelia Davidson

Lillian Adelia (Teigen) Davidson, 103, of Starbuck, Minn., died Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.  Visitation will be held 1-2 p.m., followed by the funeral at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2020, in the Chapel of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.  Use of masks is strongly encouraged for your and other’s health safety. Interment will be in the Benson City Cemetery.

Steven Douglas Svor, 74, of Camp Lake Township, Swift County, Minn., died Monday, June 29, 2020, at Hennepin County Healthcare in Minneapolis.  A time to gather will be held from 9:30 - 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., on Monday, July 6, 2020, at the CRP field north of the Svor home, 440 90th Avenue NE, Benson, Minn.  Interment will be in the St. Pauli Cemetery, Camp Lake Township, Minn.

Ron Carlson

Ron Carlson, 77, of Benson, passed away Monday, June 22 at the Gabriel House in Murdock.

A funeral service was held Saturday, June 27, 2020 at First Evangelical Free Church, Benson, Minnesota.

Officiant was Rev. Bjorn Bakke. A scripture, obituary and eulogy was read by  Reed Egerstrom. Vocalist was Joan Egerstrom accompanied by pianist Pam Lawatsch and the violin was played by Frank Lawatsch.
Internment at Pepperton Cemetery, Alberta, Minnesota.

Arthur Ronald Carlson, son of Arthur and Lilias Carlson, was born July 26, 1942 in the Stevens County Hospital. He grew up and received his schooling in Morris, Minnesota. After graduating from high school, he attended UMM for two years and then joined the Army. 
August 31, 1968 he was united in marriage to Alta R. Lawson. Following their marriage, they lived in various places in Minnesota before settling in Benson.

Larry Duane Hilleren, 60, of Benson, Minn., died Sunday, June 21, 2020, at Meadow Lane Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Benson.  Public Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2020, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in the Chapel in Benson. A private family funeral will follow.  Public Graveside Interment will be at 1:45 pm in the Benson City Cemetery. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Adeline Johnsrud of Starbuck, Minnesota, will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. on the grounds of  St. John's Lutheran Church in rural Starbuck.  Reverend Paul Johnson will be officiating.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service on the grounds of St. John's Lutheran Church.  Burial will be at the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
