Three Fighting Saints earn top two at Doc Busian Invite

The Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg wrestling team finished fifth overall in the eight-team Doc Busian Invitational Saturday, Feb. 11, in Morris.
Freshman Trey Gunderson was the lone first-place finisher for the Fighting Saints, who got runner-up finishes from Jett Olson (145) and Cole Froehlich (113).
After Gunderson opened the 120-pound tournament with a bye, he took an 11-5 decision over Grayson Gibson of MAHACA to advance to the championship where he took a 9-2 decision over Brayden Burmeister of Pipestone.
